Schools Reopening

Middle School's will re-open on Thursday, February 25th.

We have some welcome news to share at this time!
The Chancellor of the NYC Department of Education has just announced Middle School's will re-open on Thursday, February 25th. This day will be a Cohort B school day. We will share updates and announcements as they become available on our website www.barnes24.org.

High School Application Deadline: Monday, March 1, 2021

The deadline to submit your High School Application is THIS Monday, March 1, 2021. Please complete and submit your application on myschools.nyc ASAP.

Revised Bus Schedule

Update for Wednesday February 24th

The school day on this Wednesday will have asynchronous instruction (students will be working on tasks independently) to take place period 1, 2, and 3. Synchronous instruction (live teaching) will take place virtually period 4,5,6,7,8 as is seen on a student program. on a Wednesday. Wednesday, February 24th is still a regular attendance day and student attendance is expected and will be taken as usual.

February Update

On behalf of all of us at I.S. 24 we would like to wish all our students and families who will be celebrating the Lunar New Year Year tomorrow a very safe and peaceful holiday. All NYC Schools are closed tomorrow!

Also, a reminder that New York City Schools will be closed from Monday, February 15- Friday, February 19 for Mid-Winter Recess. Classes will resume remotely on Monday, February 22nd.

Here is the updated guidance from the DOE for traveling. We share this with you now as the Health Screening will not permit a student or adult into a school building without proper screening and we are aware some families may be traveling out of New York in the next few days.

Snow School Closed

New York City public school buildings will remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021.

All instruction will take place remotely for all students in 3K-12 including District 75, adult education, and YABC programs.
