Due to expected severe weather conditions, all New York City public school buildings will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 1, 2021. All instruction will take place remotely for us as it has been.

The calendar released on October 19, 2020 shared schools would be closed on February 2, 2021 for Lunar New Year. That is an error. Schools will be closed on Friday, February 12, 2021 for Lunar New Year.

Please accept blocked calls during school hours from 7:40am-2:30pm as we are attempting to reach you from private phone numbers while we are working remotely. Also, if you have updated an e-mail address or have not added an e-mail address to Pupilpath please do so as soon as possible.

In this update for families from Chancellor Carranza,  the attached letter shares information about our School Experience Survey, important changes to our elementary, middle, and high school admissions processes, and more.

The DOE invites all students in grades 6–12, parents and guardians of students in grades 3-K–12, and teachers to take the Fall 2020 School Experience Survey. The survey is open from Tuesday, January 19, 2021 through Friday, February 5, 2021. You can find the survey link below.

No classes are in session and remote learning will continue on Tuesday, January 19th.

Please be aware that family vacations should be planned to coincide with the school calendar. If you are extending your weekend or vacation, for example attending sports tournaments, please be mindful that teachers are planning lessons on a daily basis for students in attendance.

As a reminder, the Winter Recess is December 24th-January 1st and remote learning will continue Monday, January 4th. Please continue to remain healthy and safe and we will see you in 2021 which we hope will be filled with better times in a new year.
