The attached letter from the NYC Department of Education Chancellor Richard Carranza is being shared with you at this time in response to the random sample COVID-19 testing which took place at our school on Wednesday, October 14th. Please read the letter carefully and feel free to reach out to our Parent Coordinator, Barbara Nuzzolo with any questions. There is no action for you to take as the letter is more of an explanation of what took place.

We are committed to ensuring you have the information you need on COVID-19 as we continue to navigate this public health emergency together. Please see the information below:

We are kindly asking all families to complete the online form in the link below so our school can receive funding for the program as well as Federal Title I funding if we qualify.

If you bring lunch from home, or are learning remotely, or will be eating lunch in school please use the link below to apply as you do each year. We need your assistance to collect this information no matter what learning model you are in. If you have a child(ren) in the school an application is necessary for every child.

A special thanks to the 745 families who have already submitted the application to keep our school in compliance with collection of this information.

Please be advised our school was selected for random COVID-19 testing of students and staff today. This is part of the monthly testing taking place in all public schools throughout New York City. We are not able to inform families or students prior to testing based on the guidance given by the Lab and Testing Consultants.

The letter below is being sent on behalf of the NYC Department of Education and The Mayor's Office regarding testing for COVID-19 in schools.

Starting on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 we will not allow students to lineup in the schoolyard before 7:40am each day.

Many questions are still being asked regarding COVID-19 testing in schools so we wish to update you with some recent updates from the DoE.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, and those who are near and dear to us who have "fought like a girl" as well as those who are no longer with us I would like to designate October 21,22,23 as Group A,B,C-D Spirit days for the month of October. Group D can jump on with Group C. WEAR PINK!
