The school community is invited to participate in Teacher Appreciation Week from May 6-10. Teachers play a vital role in a student's life by not only teaching the school curriculum but also acting as mentors, role models, and sources of support. We encourage staff, students, and parents to celebrate teachers by doing the following:

Use the DOE All-Stars tool, to send a note of gratitude to recognize teachers;
- Post photos on social media using #ThankATeacherNYC (following DOE Digital Citizenship and Social Media Guidelines).
School Nurse Day is May 8.
Our dedicated school nurses provide direct healthcare to students, conduct health screenings, and promote a healthy environment in our schools. We encourage you to show your appreciation by
- using the DOE All-Stars tool, to send a note of gratitude to school nurses or by
- sending thank you notes and letters directly to them.
