Global Youth Service Day Weekend of Service hosted by UAU SYEP

We would love for the I.S. 24 community to be a part of this exciting initiative. Global Youth Service Day is the largest youth service and civic action event in the world that celebrates and builds the capacity of youth ages 5 to 25 to help our communities and democracy thrive by working together for the common good. During the Weekend of Service, youth and young adults will be given the opportunity to participate in service projects benefiting and supporting causes about which they are passionate. Youth will have the opportunity to participate in a service project addressing one or more causes, gain first first-hand knowledge and experience about the ways in which they can get involved and give back to their communities, and foster greater empathy and civic engagement within themselves.

This event will be a wonderful opportunity for youth to engage with the issues facing members of their communities and we are pleased to invite your participation.
