PLEASE READ: VERY IMPORTANT
The most up to date NYC DoE Health Screening questions can be found here:

You may or may not have realized a change was made in the last section below. In light of Mid-Winter Recess and Spring Recess we must share the policy update. If travel takes you somewhere be sure you are fully aware of what to do upon return.
Here is the updated guidance from the DOE for traveling. We share this with you now as the Health Screening will not permit a student or adult into a school building without proper screening and we are aware some families may be traveling out of New York in the next few days.
As it stands today if you are going away and it is out of New York the following will need to take place.
+Test negative= Wait for the fourth day back home and test again here in NYC. If the second test is negative, you can return to school. If the second test is positive for COVID-19 you will need to quarantine for 10 days.
You will need to test for COVID-19 where you are (72 hours prior to departure) before you return home.
+Test positive= Quarantine for 10 days back home (you would be able to attend school remotely if you felt healthy enough to do so).
+If you are unable to get a COVID Test upon leaving your out-of-state location and you come home, you will need to quarantine for 10 calendar days and attend school remotely.
Thank you for your time and attention to this important matter.
