Dear I.S. 24 Families,
Please be advised our school was selected for random COVID-19 testing of students and staff today. This is part of the monthly testing taking place in all public schools throughout New York City. We are not able to inform families or students prior to testing based on the guidance given by the City of New York.
I'm pleased to report the testing period today was quick, safe, and well managed as students and faculty/staff were tested for the second time this year. I'm so very proud of our students who were selected for today's test. The students selected displayed so much maturity and we were very proud of them.
Attached you will find the notice which was sent home with students who were tested today. I have also attached a copy, so you are aware. We expect testing to take place again next month with another random sampling of students on any given day.
If you have not done so already, please provide your consent so schools can maintain an appropriate number of students available to be tested each month. We have attached another consent form for you at this time to review and submit to your child's Teacher.
